Today one of my little friends died. And I am talking about a rabbit. My rabbit.
Actually, I haven't got much to say about it but I feel so fucked up. This is the first time a pet so close to me dies and I can't stop crying.
The poor thing had a stroke (I hope that's translated correct) and was probably paralyzed at one side. Her head was leaning and she got confused because of that and kept rotating. It was horrible to see her like that, suffering and confused. And after trying to stand up and rotating, she was so tired.. The poor creature ><
We took her to the vet and he said it was hopeless. And I knew, I already prepared for that. So I chose to let him put her to sleep, because I couldn't let her suffer anymore... And a few minutes later she died, while me and my dad were softly stroking her. I hope she's in a better place now...
We buried her in our garden and when my dad asked if I wanted to say something I could barely speak.. I only said she had been such a sweet creature and that I'd miss her.
After the 'funeral' we checked on Fluffy (other rabbit) and she acted a little strange, like she knew it. And I guess she did. It's in a rabbit's nature to throw a sick one out of the group...
Rest In Peace Shadow, even though you may have not noticed it, I love you... And I'll miss you...
